Meet Dr. Y, Sprout’s Pediatric Infectious Disease Specialist
Yury Yakubchyk, MD, PhD
Chair of Pediatrics, Augusta Medical Center Medical Director, Sprout Therapy
Dr. Yakubchyk is a board certified pediatrician with advanced training in infectious disease medicine and microbiology. After his residency in pediatrics at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, Dr. Yakubchyk completed a fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Stony Brook Children's Hospital.
Dr. Yakubchyk has instituted a world class infection prevention program to ensure the safety of our Sprout families and therapists.
CDC Recommended Infection Prevention Procedures
- All of our therapists follow a detailed sanitation procedure checklist before and after every appointment.
- Our staff only provides therapy within certain parts of the home known to be the lowest risk for pathogens.
Daily Screening and Monitoring Program
- Every family is required to complete a COVID-19 infection risk assessment form prior to beginning treatment.
- We conduct daily monitoring of vital signs for our BCBAs and RBTs in addition to monitoring patient temperatures before and after every session.
In-House Pediatric Infectious Disease Specialist
- Sprout's Medical Director is one of the most highly trained Pediatric Infectious Disease Specialists in the entire mid-Atlantic region. He is available for real-time consultations for both Sprout therapists and patients.

COVID-19 Prevention: Quick Tips
Wash Your Hands
Wash frequently with soup and water. Lather and scrub for at least 20 seconds.
Clean Your Phone
Be sure to clean your phone and other "high-touch" surfaces with household cleaning spray or disinfecting wipes.
Avoid Close Contact
Avoid close contact (under 6 feet) with anyone who is or might be sick.
